There’s this idea that systems fix themselves.
That over time, things just… work themselves out.I don’t think that’s true.
I think the system just keeps going.
People assume stability.
That what’s in place is just going to stay that way.Nobody really questions that until something feels off.
And when it does, it doesn’t always feel like something new.
It feels like something that was already there… just harder to ignore.
One minute everything makes sense.
Or at least it feels like it does. Then something shifts.
Not necessarily the system itself…
but how people are seeing it.And now there’s uncertainty.
Not answers.
Not clarity.
Just… something doesn’t sit right.
But nothing actually stops.
Things keep moving.
And that movement gets mistaken for correction.
It’s not.
It’s just continuation.
People adjust faster than they question.
That’s probably the part that matters most.
Things that would’ve needed an explanation before…
don’t anymore. Not because they make more sense—
but because people get used to them.
There are things people just accept without thinking about them.
“We hold these truths to be self-evident…”
Everybody knows the line.
But knowing something…
isn’t the same as actually thinking about it.
It doesn’t take much for things to escalate.
The language changes.
The reactions change with it.And even the people who were on board start to shift a little.
Not because they stopped and thought it through…
but because things around them changed.
It doesn’t break.
It bends.
And people go with it.
You see it happen.
Something extreme gets said.
People react.
Then it shifts.A pause. A different explanation. A new direction.
But it never really stops.
It just keeps going.
Even when something looks like correction…
it doesn’t really take hold.Things move forward anyway.
Not because anything got resolved—
just because it could continue.
You can see it happen in real time.
What looks like resolution….
is often just movement in a different direction.
The system isn’t asking if something makes sense.
It’s asking if it can keep going.
And if the answer is yes…
that’s enough.
So correction doesn’t come from the system.
It never did.
If it happens at all, it comes from people who are willing to stop for a second…
and actually look at what’s being said. Not later.
Before it becomes normal.
